The cover of Belle Corporation’s first Sustainability Report features women tending to abundant produce at the Pick & Pay farm set against a mirage backdrop of Tagaytay Highlands, the Philippines’ premier mountain resort, that has sustained operations for over 25 years.

Belle Corporation (Belle) released its first ever Sustainability Report titled Creating a Sustainable Tomorrow during the Company’s Annual Stockholders’ Meeting held on April 22, 2019.

With the publication of its very own Sustainability Report, Belle joins the ranks of less than a quarter of publicly listed companies in the Philippines that have accomplished such.

The 52-page report outlines the Company’s economic, environmental, social and governance performance from January 2018 to December 2018. Aside from Belle, also highlighted in the report were Pacific Online Systems Corporation, Premium Leisure Corp. and Tagaytay Highlands.

According to Mr. Manuel A. Gana, Belle’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Belle has “dedicated time and resources to evaluate our businesses and organization to determine the systems needed to ensure that we are in fact able to sustain a successful future for the Company. These efforts have resulted in our maiden Sustainability Report.”

Adding credibility to the report and alignment with global standards is Belle’s completion of Global Reporting Initiative’s (GRI) Materiality Disclosure Service. GRI is the pioneer in sustainability reporting since the late 1990s. Their website wrote that “the GRI reporting framework is the most trusted and widely used in the world.”

Creating a Sustainable Tomorrow is the result of months of collaboration and teamwork between internal and external stakeholders of Belle Corporation.
